AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): 2nd Assembly session for the year-2016 which was to begin from Thursday, has been canceled as a part of paying tribute to Samir Deb Sarkar, CPI-M legislator who took his last breath on Sunday.

The communist leader and sitting CPI-M legislator Samir Deb Sarkar died at the age of 67.

Samir Deb Sarkar died at the GBP hospital and was suffering from cancer.

However, Assembly speaker Ramendra Chandra Nath earlier announced that from  Sep 22 the assembly to begin & to end on 26. However, he said that no decision has been taken about what bill will be adopted but GST bill may be passed.
