AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): Tripura Industry Dept and FICCI organized Investment summit already heading towards major flop as seven Chief Ministers out of eight North East States rejected CPI-M Govt’s invitations. Only Nagaland Govt and few others from Bangladesh are expected which likely to push this ‘propaganda summit’ into a major damp squib. Under Communist Era, Tripura’s Industry dream never woke up from slumber, Tripura Industry & Commerce Dept., FICCI to Kick off its 3 day long summit on “Connectivity of North-East and opportunities in international trade” from Wednesday. Tripura’s lameduck Industry Minister in 2015 avoided an important conclave organized by Tripura Infoway, where foreign delegates, US, UK Govt, eminent people like Hinduja Group CTO V.Subramanyam came to a small state like Tripura to invest on opportunities with 3rd Internet gateway. But IT-Illiterate Tapan Chakraborty who is controlled by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar didn’t come to that important programme.Tapan Chakraborty not only spoiled Tripura’s industrial growth chances, also damaged state’s economy, although not a single industry Tapan could establish in Tripura.

Bangladesh wanted to make a garment village but due to Tripura govt’s lack of interest & aim for Industry-less state such business set up never had been possible in state.

From Tripura Govt. atleast 80 companies had bought land to set Industry there, among which already 14 companies ran aways, 33 are working and rest of the others couldn’t set up any Industry in Tripura.

In this situation from 21^st Sept to 23^rd Sep a business summit will be inaugurated as a flop event where Manik Sarkar and his chamchas will talk about CPI-M's 'fake' achievements.

Reportedly, Industries and Commerce Minister Tapan Chakraborty claimed besides, representatives of all Northeastern states including Chief Minister of Nagaland T R Zeliang, Bangladesh Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu and Consul General of Russian Federation, Kolkata Irina Bashkirova are scheduled to attend the sessions. Business delegations from Myanmar, Cambodia and other South East countries are scheduled to participate in the summit to draw a roadmap for industry friendly atmosphere of Tripura, as gateway of Northeastern market for ASEAN countries.

However, as per the sources, Minister Tapan Chakraborty may speak on IT possibilities along with Bamboo, Tea & Garments even though IT Minister yet to learn basic skills of IT like emails.Internet browsings.

However, Tripura Govt. although has been failed to control the unemployment issue, but never got time to think why no big Companies are not interested to invest in Tripura.

Communist CM never wanted Tripura to develop, neither Tripura's people to become rich so CPI-M avoided inviting all high industrialized countries like USA, UK, Japan, Canada Govt representatives in this summit scheduled to begin from wednesday.
