AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): Although Central Govt. under its 100 % scholarship project has opened golden chance for any number of selected students for Higher Education, but Tripura Govt. out of 3000 students have only selected 348 students for B.SC nursing scholarship. However, calculation of selection procedure is not so easy, but it was fully controlled by few brokers, who select who will study and in which college the selected students will study. Last year also same thing happened when a huge number of students led by Minister Bijita Nath reached out to Fake colleges, creating chaos & huge resentment at guardian level. Tripura Chief Minister’s ‘clean’ image has been sprayed with dirt when opposition party disclosed how Tripura SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Welfare Dept is spoiling the future of Tripura’s bright students under massive corruptions. TMC leader Sudip Barman said, the needy students can not give donation to the Education business brokers. “Tripura Govt. didn’t follow any rules for merit, needy in selection procedure. Fooling the guardian, showing high demands for Dustbin Colleges, which even do not have any own Hospital, the CPI-M Party backed brokers have grabbed Rs. 1 lakhs from each of the candidate families”, Barman Claimed.Why Tripura Govt. has selected only 348 students, whereas the Central Govt. is ready to give scholarship to everyone?

On the other hand the brokers have grabbed donations from those non affiliated Colleges for sending huge number of students.

But after passing out from those Colleges the students may see a bleak future as the Colleges do’t fulfill the category of standard Education set up.

About the Colleges he said, there are Colleges selected by Tripura Govt. as:

1)Josco College of Nursing-which has no Affiliation,

2)Mahatma Gandhi College , where students before 2 years held protest not to do class in this College,

3)Maitreyi at Hyderabad which has no hospital,

4) Venkateswara at Bangalore also has no hospital,

5)Sri Krishna Rakamari, which is based on a Rent house &

6) J P Nursing College (No affiliation),

7) Global College, no proper infrastructure

8) VenkateswaraCollege at Hyderabad --Violating all rules of Central Govt.’s scholarship scheme.

Sudip Barman also said that whereas Central Govt. is trying to advance the country technologically, the state brokers found ways to extreme profit & selling Tripura’s students to Outside Colleges, spoiling their career fully.

The scams held in the name of admission students in B Sc nursing &General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM), are going to increase unemployment rate in future”, he said. 

However, in the last year 2.56 lakhs for GNM and 3.999 for B.SC were spent, this year it’s 1.75 lakhs & 3.03 lakhs------shows Govt.’s irresponsible attitude towards state’s students.

However, why not all the students were sent there----answering that question he said “If more students go then they will seek jobs from Tripura Govt. So Govt is keeping the limitation.

It’s worthy to mention here that Tripura Education Dept. has undergone enormous scams including : CM-CS book scam, 10,323 teachers’ job recruitment scam, mid-day-meal scam, Professor recruitment scams & many other scams. Now continuous 2 scams held under Education Dept. in 2015, 2016 in the name of admissions has hit the Education system, unemployment issues in state.
