AGARTALA, Sep 19 (TIWN): Once again allegation raised against Tripura SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority Welfare Departments for selecting nine vague Colleges for Tripura's hapless students. TMC leader Sudip Roy Barman on Monday in a press meet said, “Tripura’s administration has become a corruption den. Corruption has taken place in every depts, leaving not a single dept. as corruption free”.“Tripura CM who acts like an ignorant about such scams, today via media, we want to raise the latest scam held in his one of the Departments—the scam which repeatedly is happening under Manik Sarkar’s era”, said Sudip Roy Barman. “The last 2 scams held in admission of 348 students in B Sc nursing & General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) in 2016, are going to increase unemployment rate in future”, he said. “Last year when massive scams held in Education Dept. with students admission for outside Colleges, then the same issue was raised in Assembly also. But that time CM said that he was not at all acknowledged about the incident. He will run inquiry on it”, said Barman.“However, we thought from this year action will be taken, but the same scam again repeats”, he said.

“Whereas Central Govt. has allocated 100 % sponsorship, it’s clearly said that there is no limit for students, Tripura Govt. has selected only 348 Students, whereas applicants were around 3000”, he said “Thinking about jobless condition and zero possibility of students to get job outside state after passing out from those vague Colleges----Tripura Govt. has done this”, claimed Barman.

He (non-officially) said in Press Conference that atleast 1 lakh has taken from each and every student for the admission. ‘Why Tripura Govt. didn’t select students on needy basis?’, he said.

About the Colleges he said, there are 9 Colleges selected by Tripura Govt. as:

1)Josco College of Nursing-which has no Affiliation, 2)Mahatma Gandhi College , where students before 2 years held protest not to do class in this College, 3)Maitreyi at Hyderabad which has no hospital, 4) Venkateswara at B;lore also has no hospital, 5)Sri Krishna Rakamari, which is based on a Rent house & also more 4 Colleges---------Violating all rules of Central Govt.’s scheme.

“Whereas Central Govt. is trying to advance the country technologically, the state govt. is spoiling the lives of innocent students---after which they will become a burden to the state, to the country.”, he said.

He also said, whereas in last year 2.56 lakhs for GNM and 3.999 for B.Sc were spent, this year it’s 1.75 lakhs & 3.03 lakhs------shows Govt.’s irresponsible attitude towards state’s students.

TMC leader Barman further via media asked CM to cancel all the students’ names from the Colleges & to make a Broker-free Education Dept.

Interacting media question Barman said, “TMC will write letter to the HRD Minister in this issue, exposing CPI-M’s scams, which are spoiling the young generation, increasing unemployment burden to state”.
