AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): With the inauguration of first ‘International Little Magazine’ Solemnity at Agartala Press Club on Sunday, a Bangladeshi author unexpectedly raised voice against Tripura Govt. on some issues. Bangladeshi author /Poet Ashim Saha said, “This same programme I wanted to start a year before, during Agartala Book fair time. But I didn’t get any support from Tripura Govt”. “However this year I have been invited in Tripura, although I am not directly a part of this ‘Little Magazine meet’ which is trying to operate at international level”. “This little magazine was known as a gathering of protesting voices. But in Tripura what saddens me is that the Guests are very new to me”, Ashim Saha said. “Although I am not a direct contributor to Little Magazine, but since 53 years I have been writing for this magazine, but the original writers whom I know, have not been invited today, which has surprised me”, he added”.

“I am feeling that organizers are trying to highlight their known, close persons here, but not the people who are involved with this magazine, which is giving a wrong message to the society in Tripura", he said.

Naturally people will think that the invitees are the closest persons to Little Magazine, which is wrong”, Saha added amidst much embarrassment to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his Comrades.

It’s worthy to mention here that almost all the members of ‘Intl Little Magazine meet’ programme were CPI-M supports, including the audience. But their hidden intensions were flopped by Poet Ashim Saha’s straight-talk.

“However, if Little Magazine works on behalf of development, and continues protest then I will be with you and other-wise if you work to please a section of people to get advertisement or money, then I cannot stay with you”. Poet Saha slammed the changing shape of Little Magazine which is now a days writing to please the Islamic aims via communists.

“Writing in support of established ideas are not called art”, he said.

However, counterattacking the poet Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, “Establishment doesn’t mean harmful always. The writer may write about anything, against anybody, but the writer has to understand the demand of the people”.

The anti-revolutionary Chief Minister also said, “As readers judge your writing, so let them decide what is good for them”. Criticizing indirectly the media he said, “Few writers, protesters using the freedom of speech creating mass confusion giving it a name of ‘Protest’.

CM didn’t leave the opportunity to indirectly criticize the  BJP led Central Govt. for creating various religious, communal clashes between the common people. “Across the country people are getting killed  for raising voices”. However, he also mentioned about increasing murders in Bangladesh and tortures against a section of people there.

Among the other authors, Kamalesh Dasgupta from Bangladesh mentioned about the increasing inhumanity,Hun-killing, terrorism which are Globally affecting the normality of life.

Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha also mentioned about the religious-intolerance increasing across the world.
