AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): AIBEA, AIBOA joint state conference inaugurated at Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inaugurated the programme. These left front backed bank unions also called national strike  in July month.

During the programme, various personalities came from outside and also Tripura CM basically criticized the Gentral Govt. & spoke against privatization of banking system.

‘We oppose a host of issues including banks' merger in the name consolidation, employing private sector's people at the top position of the government owned banks, centre's reluctance for infusing capital into state run banks’, Manik Sarkar said.

‘We have been actively observing the centre's reform programmes for banking sector and also considering a direct actions against the government's move’, CM added.
