Schools to open on May 21, students in dilemma
TIWN

Agartala, May 19 (TIWN): Students along with their guardians are worried over their study in the schools after the summer vacation as the High Court cancelled the appointment of 10,323 teachers. Summer vacation is about to get over on May 20 and schools will start here from May 21.

The teachers are suffering from a sense of despair following the verdict of HC. Though the state government is likely to move for Supreme Court throwing a challenge to the HC verdict, there is enough doubt regarding their victory.

The Half Yearly Examination of every school is knocking at the door and the exam is to commence from the second week of June. Prior to the Half Yearly exam and after the summer vacation, most of the schools will be taking monthly exams. But, problem may rise regarding the monthly exams.

If the teachers stop attending schools and classes, how the schools will conduct the exams? In this case, contractual teachers may be pressurized. The contractual and graduate teachers have been conducting the Senior Basic schools elevated to High schools. After the HC verdict, irregularities may be noticed mostly in those High Schools.

It is a common fact that the government schools are not run properly throughout the year. The teachers perform their duty properly only a few days ahead of exams. Now, the cancellation of appointment of 10,323 teachers has left the education system in the schools in quandary. Now, it is to see what initiative will be taken by School Education department regarding the issue.
