AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): The much talked 10,323 hearing case which was produced before the Supreme Court on Monday has been once again postponed till Sept 16.

As expected when the case was placed before the Supreme Court the case was once again postponed till Sept 16.  According to the sources the case will be again produced before the Court on Sept 16.

It can be said that only to save the vote banks of CPI-M in the 2018 Assembly Election CPI-M big heads are playing this game by continuously postponing the hearing of the case.

It is to be mentioned here that the High Court of Tripura on last year on May 7 issued an order for the termination of services of 10,323 teachers as the State government did not follow the justified process for their selection. After that the Government appealed to the Supreme Court to take proper action in the termination issue of the teachers.

However, the case was cleared by Registrar's court for final hearing in a division bench of the Supreme Court of Justices Joshthi Chalameshwar and Abhay Manohar. On behalf of the state government all papers including copies of notices and summons to parties and newspaper advertisements had been submitted to the Registrar's court. The papers were found to be satisfactory and the case was posted for final hearing in the apex court's division bench. When the case was placed for final hearing before the Apex Court it was again postponed till Sept 16.

Reportedly, the fate of the 10,323 teachers is heading towards darkness as there is even least chance of receiving any justice from the Supreme Court so far. Since the beginning the case is being delayed in the name of new date of hearing.

However, earlier the state government has filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court, challenging the High Court’s order in June and the apex court issued a stay on the decision of the High Court regard to formulation of employment policy till hearing of the case.

The High Court had also issued a 19 -point guideline for formulation of employment policy of the state within next two months and directed it to fill up all 10,323 posts for teachers by December 31 though written test with Multiple Choice Questions under supervision of an independent body.

The High Court nullified the existing employment policy of the state government, pursued by the state since 1980 where, 30 per cent of jobs are given on the basis of need and 70 per cent on the basis of merit without any written test.
