Tripura celebrates Ganesh  Chaturthi

AGATALA SEP 5 (TIWN): Although Agartala started Ganesh -Bandhana from few years back, but mass gathering were followed during Ganesh Chaturthi on Monday.

Near Rabindra Bhawan, Kaman Chowmuhani, Ramnagar-6, Paramartha Sadhak Sangha , Melarmath and many other places started Ganesh puja from Monday morning.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi ends after 10 days at ANANT CHATURDASI which is known as Ganesh Visharjan.

Lord Ganesh  is worshiped as wisdom prosperity and good fortune.

Lord Ganesh known as 108 different names  Shidhivinayaka, Mangalmurti, and many more names.

Basically Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrateed in Maharastra full 10 days to honored elephant headed god’s birthday.  

There are two different versions about Ganeshji’s birth in Puran.

There are mainly four rituals during the festival Pranapratistha-the process of infusing the deity of murti, Shhodhashopachara -16 forms of paying tribute to Ganesha . Uttarpuja, and Ganesh Bisarjan.

 The stature of this God Ganesha is different from other Gods in Hindu culture, that’s why children love Ganesha and treat him as their friend.

From Sunday organizer of Ganesh puja started doing shopping and bring Murti from murtipara.

Many ladies also participated on this occasion where the puja was organized.  They brought lots of flowers and sweets and do so many works for Bhog and decorate the pandal.

Businessmen of Maharajganja Bazaar profited a lot for this occasion

Club members organizers remain  very  excited in those 10 days.  Evenafter the Bisharjan also, they hold many programs.

Every morning women and children of these areas come and offers Anjali and provide  prasada.

In Bengali culture one more Laxmi Ganesh Puja is held in April month also.

At Tripura Durga Puja  is the main Puja but now Ganesh puja   also gets same honour.
