AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): CPM leader Samar Adhya expressed apprehension over Narendra Modi is being the Prime Minister of the country.
“He is known as Hindu hardliner which might be a threat of the country’s secularism believe. Even the good relation with Bangladesh might be affected in the days to come. And if it is happened, Tripura will be the great loserâ€, he added. As a Member of Parliamentary, I will raise the state’s unfulfilled demands in the Parliament and get them materialized, said Sankar Prasad Dutta, who secured a landslide victory in the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat.
Mr. Dutta, who was delivering reaction on the BJP led NDA’ s massive victory contested the Parliamentary election from West Tripura seat on a private TV channel, claimed the number has not always been a factor for delivering good thing.
“If you have the will power, you can do better with limited number of MPs in the Parliament. It’s all about deduction, commitment and will power to perform better”, he said.
On his priority, Mr. Dutta said he would try his level best to fulfill all the unfulfilled aspirations of the people. “As I said during the campaign, if I get elected in the election, I will certainly advocate for good work for Tripura”, he said.
Mr. Roy, who is also secretary of CPM backed trade unit-CITU, hinted at giving emphasis on improvement in connectivity and a much awaited push for industrialization.
On being asked about the party’s poor show in the general elections, he said, “There are some reasons behind the poor show of the party and organizational loopholes might be one of them. Besides, Corporate houses don’t want CPM or Left Front to expand its reach to the people outside a few states”, he claimed.
