AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): The mood was festive at the BJP state headquarters here after BJP led NDA on way to gain absolute majority for the 2014 general polls. Several youngsters were seen dancing to the beats of drums and congratulating each other.

The party office has been decorated with lights and flowers. While the state office has ordered firecrackers."We are sure of crossing the 300 mark and the youth wing has been given the responsibility for firecrackers. We are planning grand celebrations in the afternoon,''  Sudhindra Dasgupta , Tripura BJP president told TIWN, adding people saw in Modi the hope of development and good governance.

Cutouts of Modi donned the place besides posters of senior leaders where the party workers garlanded him after the announcement amid chants of “ Modi tum aagey badho’ (Modhi you move on).While some jubilant worker remembered veteran leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L. K. Advani and was shouting “ Atal – Advani – Modi zindabad’ the worker said.

The party headquarters, which is usually quiet during in the morning hours, was bustling with party workers and media persons. The workers are waiting for the final numbers tally after that they will start busting crackers and start grand celebrations.
