AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): IPFT to hold victory rally on 26th August, as N C Debbarma was confident enough about Simna-Tamakari ADC bi-election, the result of which to be published on Wednesday.
Stressing the issue on IPFT rally, which caused disruption in normal lives, IPFT blames CIP-M for that mayhem.
Addressing the press meet N C Debbarma, IPFT President told media that the disruption which created chaos in Agartala City on Tuesdaywas not actually done by IPFT. “We were holding that rallies peacefully, also we had permission to proceed with that rally at 1 PM.
“We started our rally at 1 PM and by time with 2,500 people joined us. The rally was fully peaceful’, said Debbarma.
However he agreed few lunatic youths were allegedly proceeding through the rally, but he has doubt about the allegation as police force was there to check the rally.
Debbarma also declined that IPFT youths to have any link with burning vehicles. He also said atleast 6 IPFT vehicles were burnt by CPI-M goons on that time.
N C Debbarma called it a pre-planned attack which also caused massive attacks on Tribal women in Agartala.
Against his comment Tripura Media persons raise question, why he is saying so, whereas at Surja Chowmuhani the Bengali women were attacked. N C Debbarma said, “They could attack on us, but why they were attacking the common people”.
Media further asked why only during IPFT’s rally such clashes occur, not with other political groups? N C Debbarma could not answer that media question.
He also said, few medias by using FB has created confusion and trying to cover the fault of the actual goons. ‘What the actual incident occurred, it’s yet to be known’, said Debbarma.
Why IPFT leaders have no control over its youths?, question raised at Press conference by media persons.
However, also question raised, why instead of SP’s request they didn’t stop their sound system? Media also asked, why they didn’t announce for peace maintenance?
