AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): IPFT’s one day rally and violence have exposed the bare facts that, Tripura’s capital Agartala run under the lawlessness and inept police machinery. When only counted number of IPFT hooligans have conducted mayhem and paralyzed the entire Agartala city, multiple number of TSR, state police personnel failed to control the violence in the city led by IPFT protestors. CM Manik Sarkar’s “President Colour” awarded police were although deployed in every hook and corner of the city but ultimately have shown the failure and negligence in c controlling the blistering violence in the city which left CM Manik Sarkar with no other option to handover the responsibility to Army(Assam Riffles) for controlling the situation. Unprecedented riot erupted on Tuesday in the Agartala city during IPFT’s massive rally in demand of Twipraland and all of a sudden started rampaging shops, bikes, cars, houses sparking a riot between the tribals and the non- tribals community following the attacks and counter attack on each other.

Shocking to the fact is that when the violence erupted during IPFT’s mass rally Civil and  Police Administration for some reason appeared  incapable and inept to control the situation which has further fuel the situation in the state. In an incident of large scale violence the unruly activists of IPFT created an uprising situation in the capital city on Tuesday.

As a result at least 40 persons injured including woman, children, police personnel and reporter.

Besides many vehicles including car, bike gutted and business showrooms ransacked. The activists of IPFT were assembled in Vivekananda Stadium to mark the separate statehood day since 12 p.m. 

Later on, a huge rally of IPFT started to parade  across the busy streets of the city including B.K. Road, Laxmi Narayan Bari Road, Jacson Gate. 

Kaman Chowmuhani, HGB Road, RMS Chowmuhani, Bidurkarta Chowmuhani and Coloniel Chowmuhani and started rampaging public property and also attacking human lives.

However, a violent group of youths belonging to IPFT roaming, disrupting public life with barbaric shouting, scaring people at capital of Tripura demanding a new state on Tuesday. Manik’s police force was just standing as puppet watching the unruly mob disrupting public life in Agartala. IPFT with their violent barbaric outlook openly shouted at the city participating in a rally in demand of a separate state. Manik Sarkar however now-a-days blaming the opposition parties to neighboring Bangladeshi fundamentalist elements for nurturing NLFT, but in matter of his own state Chief Minister is silent with similar disturbing groups which has again proved like IPFT demanded for a separate state and unrest across the State. Reportedly, in some places some of the youths in uncontrolled situation were harassing people, drinking liquor.

The West Tripura district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section-144 all over Agartala town to prevent illegal gathering of people.

The IPFT has been agitating for the creation of a separate state Twipraland to be carved by upgrading the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council area by disbursing peace and tranquillity of the state where as the state dominated Bengali Community always pleaded for maintaining peace in the state.
