KAMALPUR, Aug 24 (TIWN): The transfer of a GRS made the local people irked to such an extent that the VC office remained under lock and key even after 24 hours till now. The incident took place at Harimangal VC of Harinchara area under Ambassa RD Block.

According to information, the GRS Pankaj Debnath of Harimangal VC was transferred to Raipasa VC. This transfer irked the local people. It happened as the GRS often tried to help the villagers cordially and efficiently in their dealings with the VC.

The villagers demanded that, Pankaj should remain in the VC during 2016-17 financial year. Then he might be transferred. They also approached to the BDO with the same demand.

But they could not meet the BDO. Then the irked villagers put the VC office under lock and key around 11 am yesterday. The deadlock continued till now almost after 24 hours. No initiative could be attained to end the deadlock.

Meanwhile, the BDO informed that being a transferable job, Pankaj must join his new place. Hence a tough situation got feared regarding the issue.
