AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): Tripura Lower court on Wednesday awarded life time imprisonment to 5 accused in connection to Dilip Ghosh murder case.

Dilip Ghosh, smuggler and part of powerful mafia ring was murdered at Ramnagar Road no 9 in October last year. Police suspected, seven criminals, member of different negotiation group had ‘executed’ Dilip Ghosh as per pre-planned. In course of investigation, police have managed to arrest five suspected killers.

It is to be mentioned here; earlier, INTERPOL had issued a red-corner notice against most wanted Mujibur Rahaman and Balaram Rajbhar in connection with cases vide no. A-4639/6-2014 and A-4636/6-2014. Both of them are wanted in West Agartala PS Case No. 346/13, U/S 1203/302/34 IPC and 27 of Arms Act. related for killing of Dilip Ghosh on November 09, last year at Ramnagar Road No 9 in Agartala. They are absconding to evade the arrest.  

Mujibur and Balaram along with other co- accused persons killed one Dilip Ghosh with sharp cutting weapon and gunshot around 10.30 pm on November 09, last year. Subsequently some of the co-accused persons were arrested.  Investigation revealed that the wanted persons are directly involved into this sensational case.
