KAMALPUR, Aug 24 (TIWN): Rape accused SI Subimal Debnath of Ambassa police station got interim bail for 15 days. He would be produced before the Court on 7th September next. After three days' jail custody Subimal was produced before the court today.
According to Aminul Haque, the advocate of Subimal, the court not found enough evidence against Subimal. Further, the medical examination report also not provided any trace of rape. Hence, the court granted him bail on the condition that he must assist the investigation and should not try to distort evidences.
However, many expressed their view that, as Subimal was a police officer so the investigating officer played trick in favour of him. It was alleged that, the entire process was influenced by the officials of the police during report preparations. Hence the Court granted bail. In numerous similar cases the accused persons found to be remained in the jail custody day after day.
