AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): The Telengana Govt. has announced Rs. 50 lakhs to Tripura Gymnast star Dipa Karmakar even before Manik Sarkar opened his mouth to congratulate Dipa Karmakar. Being and brought up in Tripura’s faded sports environment Dipa alone made her place in Olympic without any back bone support from Tripura Government.

Tripura Sports Minister propagated that how the so called “Scouting for Talent” since decades had created Tripura girl Dipa Karmakar as a unique talent. He credits CPI-M led Tripura Govt. for exclusive & continuous talent searching from school-level, whereas in reality Tripura doesn’t have any sports-complex also.

Whether Dipa came out with her Produnova talent, CPI-M party here claiming that they fought a lot for Dipa’s training at Delhi as Tripura has no practice ground for Produnova.

However, Dipa urged Tripura govt. to arrange a foam-pit where she can practice her deadly-vault in 2014. But getting no response she didn’t fed up, rather she took it as a challenge to make her place in Olympic.

But after Dipa’s achievement, nationwide stars, politicians and other brands started to beg for Dipa’s attention. In this situation Manik Sarkar has arranged a kind of political campaigning at Astabol Field to draw the attention of public and to propagate fake sports history relating with CPI-M’s contribution in sports.  

Make her waiting for 3 hours in Airport, CPI-M lifts Dipa from there following a rally at Astabol field.

But it’s interesting to note that just before her departure for Rio Olympic, Sahid Choudhury had zero percent confidence for Dipa and said, “She is not at all a star now, let her achieve atleat few medal first”.

Now, as per Choudhury’s comment for  Dipa--she has actually achieved almost nothing ! Then question arises why so much Dipa demand the Tripura Govt. is feeling?

It’s nothing but Tripura govt. is trying to hide its poor sports infrastructure, continuous deprivations to sports starts.

Like Dipa many stars in this state had dried before they bloomed. Asian-meet participants are dying in poverty. So, in this condition the massive rally for is Dipa is nothing but just a shame on Tripura’s sports culture who is expert to highlight people, after their achievements.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sundsay announced cash prize of Rs 50 lakh to Dipa Karmakar, who finished fourth in women's vault Gymnastics event at the Rio Olympics."Exceptional performance by girls in the Rio Olympics is inspiring”.

However, will Tripura Govt. give other state’s stars such awards?? Such initiative taken by Telengana CM shows his Love for country which powers the concept ‘Patriotism’.  Manik Sarkar yet to learn that level of love for nation.
