KAMALPUR, Aug 22 (TIWN): After the day-long drama of Kamalpur police to save the rape accused SI Subimal Debnath from the flash of camera, the Court sent him for three days’ JC.

He would be produced before the Court on 24th next. The Court of the JM 1ST Class asked for the Case Diary within the three days. The statement of the victim girl was also recorded under section 164 of Cr PC.

From the early morning, Kamalpur Court was virtually covered under tight security. Huge numbers of TSR jawans and dozens of Sub Inspectors of Police found busy in the Court area. Meanwhile, the victim girl was taken to court around 11 am.

Just after a while, Subimal was taken to Court silently by the cops under the leadership of OC Kamalpur Pannalal Sen. After recording the statement of the victim girl, she was sent for medical check up.

Then the Judge Samyajyoti Debnath heard the presentation of both the parties. Then he sent Subimal for three days’ JC up to 24th August. On that day he would be produced before the court. The court also ordered the investigation officer to produce the Case Diary on that very day.

It might be mentioned here that, after much hurly burly and mass protest, Ambassa police booked Subimal in the case 24/2016k under sections 376 and 457 of IPC yesterday.

The accusation of raping a woman constable of Ambassa police station rose when the local people and police noticed Subimal in the room of that woman constable around 1 am on Friday night.
