AGARTALA, Aug 21 (TIWN): In many cases it is seen that blood banks are unable to supply the required blood to the patients but every now and then it is seen that CM Maniik sarkar is always busy in inaugurating blood donation camp.

Pitching the theme ‘Donate blood, Donate life’, Vivakanda Sangha on Sangha on Sunday   organized a blood donation camp.

Addressing the inaugural programme the dignitaries said that blood cannot be manufactured in the factory. One person can help another by donating blood. Therefore, people should come up any donate their blood so that the needy person can be cured.

Appreciating the initiative taken by the association, Chief Minister said that there is no alternative of blood. He appealed to donate blood as much as possible as there is no substitute for human blood.

Besides, he also urged to continue with this kind of social activities so that the people can be helped.

Blood donation occurs when a person voluntarily has blood drawn and used for transfusions.

Donating blood should become a habit for the mass as blood can save life. Some time, we come across many patients who pass away due to insufficient blood in the hospitals or the Blood Bank but the regular initiatives of the people may save the life.

It is to be mentioned here that several people need blood when they meet any accident or their body require more blood after the body losses blood in injury or diseases. Therefore, on that situation people require blood which becomes possible with the donated blood.

However, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has unfurled the programme in the presence of the other members of Vivekananda Sangha.
