Agartala, May 15 (TIWN): Tripura Pragatishil Gramin Congress (TPGC) today called to boycott the Lok-Sabha poll counting on tomorrow for allegedly manipulation in the by-gone poll process. TPGC convenor- Subal Bhowmik said in a press conference, here today.
The TPGC leaders today went to the Superintended of Police- Bijay Kumar Nag for the proper investigation on allegedly malpractices in the by-gone Lok-Sabha election. In the wake of election manipulation, TPGC leaders led by convenor Subal Bhowmik visited the West Agartala police station to file a complaint against the Chief Electoral Officer- Ashutosh Jindal, returning officer- Abhishek Singh, presiding officer of 15/56 booths of Bishalgarh, micro observer and the CPI-M polling agents on April 21. After a two and half hours long argument, the OC of West Agartala PS- Milan Datta agreed to accept the complaint in presence of the Addl SP- Jayanta Chakraborty and SDPO Rajendra Datta. The trio tabled a condition to record his statement in connection to a complaint on electoral malpractices registered with the Bishalgarh police station. The police had denied providing any certified copy of receipt to Subal and the police did not take any measure against the FIR named persons. For that the TPGC leaders today visited to the SP Bijay Kumar Nag for the proper investigation.
