AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): Lacklustre attitude of TNGCL has given rise to huge mismanagement at Badarghat CNG station where gas supply is stopped since Friday morning followed by massive traffic jam and road blockade. After petrol and diesel now the state is hit with CNG crisis. Yet again keeping the tradition, the unruly auto drivers since Friday evening staged road blockade along the CNG station at Badharghat. The blockade has come up in demand of resuming CNG supply to the vehicles. Hundreds of vehicles carrying passengers’ were stranded amidst scorching summer heat. It is to be mentioned here that since Friday the auto drivers have staged back to back protest and also staged road blockade in demand of resuming gas supply to the vehicles. Reportedly, due to the lack of power supply in the area gas connection was dropped suddenly following which the unruly the auto drivers staged road blockade at Drop gate. Due to the disruption of power connection at Badarghat for Puja maintenance has snapped the gas supply after which the unruly auto drivers have created a chaos at Drop gate. However, the drivers have again blocked the street on Saturday morning demanding to resume gas supply.

Situation turned worst when the CNG workers demanded for CNG cylinder clearance certificate for supplying gas.

According to the report when the auto drivers were collecting CNG gas for their vehicles the authority had to suddenly stop providing gas due to power cut and this has left the unruly auto drivers block the daily busy road.

However the passengers especially have suffered at large and complained that despite the police has reached the spot but no action was taken. And taking this opportunity the unruly auto drivers continued their blockade resulting the passengers suffers.

Chaos also took place among the common people and the auto drivers while the people were trying to cross the blockade today. However, this has not been a new game for the unruly drivers rather it has now been a part of their daily life leaving common mass suffers at large.

The CNG stations in function unable to cater the demand of rising vehicles which has resulted this huge queue in the Station. Besides, the situation has affected the smooth movement of the vehicles in the state.

The locals alleged that either there is no supply of gas in the CNG station or else machine is out of order.

Besides, they also mentioned that it is a common feature of all CNG stations every time the consumers had to wait for the prolonged many hours.
