AGARTALA, Aug 19 (TIWN): A left front Farmers Union in Tripura, has come on road on Friday urging the shop-keepers to donate for the CPI-M victims in West Bengal who are allegedly torturing by Mamata Banarjee’s party members.
At Agartala from every shops, the red-flagged Farmers Union named 'Krishak Sabha' collected donations from each and every shops at Battala. However, they are to run this ‘Help for CPI-M-victims-movement’ at every corners of the state.
Tripura Assembly Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar lead the journey of the farmers union at Agartala. In a red colour Cloth CPI-M members were gathering the party fund for West Bengal Victims.
On Thursday, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that the Trinamool Congress was "pressurising", "threatening", "terrorising" and even trying to lure a section of CPI-M workers, and did not rule out a "tacit understanding" between some of his party cadres and the ruling party.
Yechury said though communists were made of better steel, "there could be few people, I am not ruling it out".
He accused the Trinamool Congress of using terror tactics and threatening the CPI-M workers of letting loose the police against them.
