AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Adding woes to embarrassment of Left Front government in Tripura, another communist faction CPI (ML) Liberation demanded action against the Cabinet members and top Officials of the administration who had formulated the employment policy of the state.CPI (ML) Liberation argued that 10,323 teachers have fallen victim of the faulty policy of the government, had formulated violating all constitutional norms and High Court canceled their jobs.

While demanding employment assurance of 10,323 teachers, Central Control Commission member of CPI (ML) Liberation Chiranjib Bhattacharjee urged High Court to review the judgment and punish the policy makers.

He stated in pronouncement of the judgment, High Court failed to fix up the responsibility of the mistake committed by the policy makers at the time of approving revised employment policy of government where ‘need and seniority of the aspirant’ has got highest priority.

He however, pointed out two important features have been scrutinized by the High Court – first, whether the employment policy is constitutional and second, whether there is corruption and manipulation in providing job.

In both the issues High Court observed malpractice but the court did not take any action against anti-constitutional norms setting up for issuing job offer and corruption in providing job among the aspirants.

The High Court made it clear that needy and seniority can’t be any criteria for job of a teacher and determination of merit without proper test is vogues.

Indian Constitution has given equal opportunity of work to all of it’s citizen but in case of teachers’ job, the government deprived lakh of aspirants in the name of needy and seniority, he stated.

Bhattacharjee also maintained that General Administration (Personal & Training) had notified revised employment policy of Tripura government on August 30, 2010 with the approval of the state cabinet where ‘needy, seniority and merit’ had set as criteria for any government job.

“Since High Court termed the policy ‘unconstitutional’, the court must initiate action against the cabinet members attended the meeting where the policy was accepted and also to punish the officials who formulate it at administrative level,” Bhattacharjee added.

He appealed to the High Court to review the judgment and extend the decision up to punishment to the accused cabinet members and officials for adopting such an unconstitutional employment policy for which 10,323 job holders lost their employment.

He smelled a racket in the formulation of employment policy including cabinet members, top officials of the administration and political party.
