Agartala, May 14 (TIWN): The newly appointed Madrasa teachers even after 4 months of their appointment are not getting their salaries. Owing to the negligence of School Education Department yet the teachers are deprived of acceptance sparking resentment among the teachers.

Most of the Madrasa in the state are conducted under the Central government’s SPQEM scheme. The state is having a total of 129 SPQEM Madrasa and a number of teachers have been engaged in the Madrasa. Among the teachers, a few teachers were newly appointed four months back. Four months on, they are yet to get salaries.

They knocked the door of School Inspectorate several times but did not get any positive response. Furthermore, the School Education Department did not send acceptance till days. Questions were raised, what is the problem to give acceptance after 4 months of appointment? Why the teachers have to face harassment regarding salary?

In comparison to other schemes, the Madrasa teachers under SPQEM scheme are deprived of every facility. The state government provides every facility to SSA and RMSA regarding pay scale and allowance. Also the Madrasas lack in basic infrastructure.

School Inspector of Sadar Ananta Bir Jamatia accepted the allegations of depriving teachers of their salaries since 4 months. Besides, a number of UGTs of School Education Department in many schools are not getting salaries. The staffs of Madrasa cell under School Education Department failed to prepare the acceptance for the Madrasa teachers. The School Education department should look after the issue and provide the facilities to Madrasa teachers or the deprived teachers would go for further upheaval, said sources.
