Agartala, May 12 (TIWN): To strengthen the sewerage system of flood-water, Agartala Municipal Corporation formed a new committee to monitor the concerning matter on May 09.

To observe the day-to-day development and account it to the authorities of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Deputy Chief Executive Officer- Ratan Biswas was assigned as a head of the committee. Even after a little shower of rainfall the city goes under the rain water in the Monsoon season.

Due to insufficient drainage system in the city, rain water finds its way through open drain resulting in its overcapacity. The manure water and rain water generated in the city is disposed off into the Akhaura cannel. To improve the drainage system in the city, Biswas would observe the sewerage system being done by 10 pump machines.
