AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): With West Bengal totally in her grip, Mamata is now all set to wrest Tripura from the misrule of CPI-M. As per the scheduled, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee while attending the mass rally at Swami Vivekanda stadium said that 2018 assembly election will mark the end of the of CPI-M rule in Tripura. Mamata Banerjee further said the next target for Trinamool Congress is Tripura and TMC is confident that TMC will wipe out CM Manik Sarkar form the power in this 2018 assembly election. The Assembly polls in Tripura are scheduled in 2018 where TMC is playing the role of principal opposition, added Mamata. The party has already come up with their strategy “Maa Mati Manush ” and have managed to get a major space in the political scenario of Tripura. Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee said that she has come here in the north-eastern state of Tripura on August 9, to consolidate the ground for Trinamool Congress in the State. She said that she want to work for the development of the people of Tripura, which has been facing Left tyranny for decades.In her speech today at the Swami Vivekananda Stadium said that, “Many people from Tripura are here today.

 I have come here to work for the people of Tripura. In the next Assembly Election in Tripura, we will form the Government here.”

Attacking CPI-M, TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee said "We are confident that we will be able to oust the Left Front regime in Tripura in the next Assembly polls. People in Tripura are fed up with the Left rule there. The Left Front in Tripura will have the same fate as that the Left Front in West Bengal faced in 2011”.

It is to  be mentioned here that after starting her second innings as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is now eyeing Tripura where the CPM-led Left Front has been in power for more than two decades.

The TMC has a presence in Manipur and Assam as well, but Mamata first wants to target Tripura where the majority of voters are Bengalis said TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee while addressing a public meeting at Agartala’s Stable Ground on August 9.

Former Leader of the Opposition in the Tripura Assembly Sudip Roy Barman, who along with many other Congress MLAs had left the party after the Congress-Left poll tie-up in West Bengal, is now the TMC’s main face in the state.

However, TMC State unit leader Sudip Roy barman said that “We are confident that like in Bengal, the TMC will oust the CPM from power during the 2018 Assembly elections. People have recognised Mamata Banerjee as the main anti-Left force and we want to start our movement right now as the people are flocking to the TMC,” he said.
