AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): Mamata Banerjee is not only the chief Minister of West Bengal but also an icon for many people who will be seen today at the swami Vivekananda stadium to attend Mamata’s rally despite of their alignment to the political parties.

However, state TMC unit is expecting huge gathering o common people at Swami Vivekanda Stadium as party supporters and workers have already started walking into the stadium from different corners of the state.

The stage is all set as TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee is on “CPI-M wipe out mission from Tripura”.  The rally is scheduled to begin from 12.30.

Aiming to hold mass rally on Tuesday at Swami Vivekananda stadium, TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee arrived at Tripura on Mondayevening.

However, WB CM Mamata Banerjee was welcomed to Tripura by the state TMC party members at Agartala amidst tight security at Agartala airport.

After sweeping the assembly elections in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has set her eyes on Tripura for the upcoming 2018 general elections. Didi is scheduled to address a rally in Tripura on August 9, a state with substantial Bengali population.

But Trinamool Congress is confident that this time around, she will be able to garner majority support for her party.

Sudip Roy Barman, a Trinamool leader from Tripura, is working hard to make the tables turn for her in the state. In the second phase of her rally, Mamata will urge people to end the CPM rule in the state and free it from the clutches of 'Red'. All India Vice President of Trinamool Congress Mukul Roy is in Tripura from August1 to make the necessary arrangements for the rally which will be held at Agartala's vivekananda ground.
