AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): The counting of votes is one of the most important aspects of the election procedure, counting personnel should be attentive and sincere scheduled to be held on May 16 next, stated Returning Officer (RO) for Tripura East Parliament constituency, Dr P. K Goyal while addressing the counting personnel who were participating in the training of counting of votes in Conference hall of Jawahar Nagar today.
"A heavy responsibility lies on your shoulders to ensure proper, systematic and accurate counting and the same should be strictly adhered to as per ECI guidelines", he further added.
Taking to TIWN, the Dr. Goyal informed that elaborate security arrangement has been made for pre and post counting. District police authority has been instructed to make tight security arrangement around the counting hall on the day of counting and to put police barricades at 100 metre away from the counting hall on all sides.
The RO expressed hope that with the proper coordination from all the administrative officers, nodal officers and cooperation from the political parties, the final phase of the election process i.e., counting of votes would be completed smoothly as per the provisions and guidelines of ECI in free, fair and peaceful manner.
