AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): Keeping eye on Mamata Banerjee’s mass rally on August 9 at Swami Vivekananda stadium, TMC state unit is busy in doing last minute arrangements at TMC Bhawan on Monday as TMC Supremo WB CM Mamata Banerjee is scheduled to arrive in the state on Monday evening. Trinamool Congress is all set to make major inroads in Tripura with party supremo Mamata Banerjee set to address a public meeting on August 9.After defeating the Left in West Bengal in the recent state elections, Banerjee now plans to oust the same party from yet another Left bastion.The responsibility of becoming the second largest party and the Opposition in the state assembly has been given to once number two in the Trinamool Congress; Mukul Roy.Mamata herself called up Sudip Barman, ex opposition leader and announced the date of her arrival to Tripura. Six out of the nine Congress legislators led by Mr Barman joined TMC recently. Banners, hoardings, posters, mikings TMC state unit has put their all efforts for the campaigning. Aiming to pave the way for TMC to make its hold in the upcoming Assembly election on the year 2018, TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee is all set to arrive in the state on August 8 in Tripura. According to the source TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee would be arriving in the state on August 8 and would attend the mass rally on August at Swami Vivekananda stadium. However, she will be arriving in the state at 4.50pm on August 8 and will attend the mass gathering on August 9.

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is all set to visit Tripura to strengthen Trinamool Congress in the state where it emerged as main opposition party.

In a setback to opposition Congress, six dissident MLAs in Tripura had joined TMC last week making it the main opposition party in the Left-ruled state.
