KAMALPUR, Aug 8 (TIWN): The crime and torture against woman folk increased to such a height in the state that even the sisters are not finding themselves safe.

And the irresponsible brothers go to such an extent that the sisters are even being compelled to set themselves in fire. This pathetic incident takes place this morning around 9 am at Kachuchara under Kachuchara police station. The seriously burnt sister has been shifted to GBP Hospital in a critical condition.

According to the information, thiss morning a high altercation takes place between Jhuman Deb (12), daughter of Apu Deb of Kachuchara and her distant brother Papan Deb. The altercation on petty issues becomes hot as Papan starts to abuse Apu with slang languages.

In anguish, Jhuman put kerosene on her taking from the kitchen and set fire. Apu tries to rescue her and also gets injured. During all these happenings, her mother remains absent from the house busy in MGNREGA works.

Immediately after the incident, Jhuman has been shifted to Dhalai District Hospital and as she gets 90% of her body burnt so the doctors send her to GBP Hospital. This incident creates resentment among the locale.
