Kumarghat, May 11 (TIWN): TSR camps at remote tribal dominated areas of Unakoti district is going through a terrible situation. Home department of state government formed the TSR camps to provide security to people of hilly areas at Longtrai and Kumarghat during last two decades.

Jawans of such a camp said that they are deprived of drinking water, electricity, communication and medical service year after year. They had been sent inside jungle without basic infrastructure. On the other hand, BSF Jawans under Central government are availing all facilities in spite of staying at remote areas.

It is worthy to mention here that the deplorable situation is prevailing at remote camps of Chamanu and Kanchanpur under Home department of the state during last two decades. The Jawans of the camps alleged that they have to stay at the camps during heavy rains.

Besides, scarcity of drinking water prevails at the camp all through the year. There is no medical service, power connectivity and communication at the camps. The Jawans said that they face no troubles in staying at remote villages. But Home department is not fulfilling their needs.

Meanwhile, the attack of mosquitoes increased after the rains. There is neither medicine nor good mosquito nets in the camps. All the camps are going through such terrible condition that hoses may collapse any time. Sources said that roofs of many houses blown away by storm few days back. In spite of so many adversities the jawans of TSR battalion performing 24 hours standby duty.
