AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): After the High Court’s judgment canceling appointment of 10,323 teachers, the Left Front committee today held an emergency meeting to find ways to tide over the crisis.

In a press release, the committee extended full-scale sympathy towards the affected teachers and termed the verdict as ‘inhuman’ and ‘precedent’. It also extended full support to the state government’s nod for knocking the door of apex court challenging the High Court’s order.

The committee also poked at those political parties who have been rejoicing after the court’s verdict. “The Left Front condemned the baseless allegations against Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and School Education Minister Tapan Chakaborty.

Calling upon people to expose the negative politics by the opposition parties, Haripada Das said the opposition parties have been supporting anti-people and anti-unemployment. The statement of the ruling front assumed significance keeping in mind of ongoing war of words between ruling party and opposition parties.

Another Left Front wing- Tripura Ganamukti Parisad today appealed for review of the High Court order canceling the appointment of 10,323 teachers.

In a press release, it expressed concern over the fate of teachers and their families after the court’s order. Terming the court verdict as unfortunate, Biswamoni Debbarma said over 50,000 people would be affected by the court’s verdict. “While the door for unemployed youth has been shut down, the Left Front government has given jobs to thousands of youth belonging to weaker section of the society. And, it’s really unfortunate, they will lose the job after the verdict”, he said.
