KAMALPUR, Aug 4 (TIWN): The health facility and the service to the patients leapt a giant stride forward after the introduction of sophisticated CBNAAT machine yesterday in the TB Hall of Dhalai district hospital.
After setting the machine State TB Officer Dr. Babul Das and District TB Officer Dr. Debasis Chakma held a press meet in the evening in this regard.
In the press meet they disclosed that, the state got 6 such machines each costing 25, 00, 000 rupees. With this machine TB could be detected only in 2 hours instead of present 20 days. And the patients would get the facility for free of cost.
The doctors informed that, in the district 746 TB patients got detected up to July 2016. However, the doctors hoped that the district would be free of TB very soon.
