AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): In an attempt to display the actual condition of National Highway, BJP held press meet at Party Office. Addressing the press meet Biplab Deb, BJP State President told media that unfortunately Tripura Chief Minister never bothers to give any statement against any serious state issue. Either it’s a rape incident or such an ongoing crisis situation in state, the Chief Minister is always silent, which is unacceptable.

“The CM is the overall guardian of a state. He is the ultimate power and people want to know his view, said Biplab Deb. “Unfortunately, CM’s statement is given in Melarmath party office but Party has nothing to do with state’s administration”, he said. He also mentioned, “CPI-M talks more rather than action and thus CPI-M is busy to blame other  state Govt. and the central Govt”.

Via a video recording Biplab Deb showed what is the real condition of NH-44 (8). In that video, it was shown that only the one side of the road has been recovered and vehicles are passing now by that way. This video display was a counter attack on PWD Minister Badal Choudhury who displayed pictures of NH-(8) 44 at Secretariat on Friday to blame the Assam Govt.

Counter attacking the 3 Ministers he said, blaming each other is not the solution of problem but ruling Govt.’s 3 heads who sat at press conference didn’t mention that the crisis has been occurred since last 2 months, whereas in last 15 years Assam and Tripura Govt. turned the lifeline of Tripura like this. This was just a trap to prevent industrial revolution in Tripura.

“In this crisis situation 3 Ministers are sat together to blame the Central Govt. is really rubbish. This is time to take action immediately”, he added.
“I have not sit today to blame any party, but I am here just to show the real condition of national highway, which need to be seen now, as CPI-M Govt. is making story, confusing mass saying all false stories”, he said.

As Bhanulal Sala said Tripura Govt. will invest for NH-44, Biplab Deb said, “For temporary construction already 50 lakhs have been sanctioned to the North DM to buy the materials for Churaibari Checkpost”.

“After the one side has been completed at Lowairpoa road around 500 vehicles are coming in state. However, presently tankers are given the basic priority”, he said.  “The movement of vehicles are slow yet”, he said.

Media asked Biplab Deb, When the National Highway will be finally done. He replied, “It will really take time as it’s monsoon, may be 3/  4 months after continuous work”.

Central Govt. is making now 3 ways for Tripura to bring fuel. One is National Highway, another is train and the 3rd one is from Meghalaya via Bangladesh to Dharmanagar. Presently IOC’s CGM is investigation about the 3 routes.

In 2014-15 total Petrol came to Tripura is 3500 KLlr and Diesel 6400KLtr. In 2015-16 total Petrol amount came to Tripura is 3600 KLlr and Diesel 5600KLtr.  Thus it shows that the fuel crisis is self-made.

“Central Govt. can help by fund, but the way Dharmanagar massive fuel theft is going on, this can be checked by only the state govt. This is not the work of Central Govt.”, he said. Biplab Deb also expressed desires to sit in talk with the opposition parties to discuss about the crisis situation and thus they can send the message to Prime Minister and jointly to diminish the problem.
