KAMALPUR, July 29 (TIWN): The continuous crisis of fuels like petrol and diesel already turns out to be a grave problem imposing threat on the communication system of the state.

Further, the unrest of the commoners also gears high as the motorists find no hope of early remedy. Moreover, in the beginning of the monsoon the farmers become the biggest prey of the situation.

As the diesel not being given into containers, hence they cannot have the fuel for their power tillers and tractors. It results into the lands being unused. Again, the price of diesel in the open markets remains more than 100 rupees a liter. And in this situation, the so-called people friendly government of the state virtually numbs up.

For a period of almost a fortnight, the crisis of petrol and diesel deepens in the state.  All the efforts of the government like rationing and the most recent odd-even distribution ceased to attain minimum success.

Further, such steps only add to the problems of the innocent commoners. But, the black-marketers, unscrupulous sellers continue their trading of the fuels at high price. Still the vehicle owners and the motorists can arrive at the filling station with their own vehicle. But, the farmers cannot have such opportunity to move up to the filling stations.

Hence, they remain the worst sufferers.  In this context, the farmers and commoners blocked the Kamalpur-Ambassa road yesterday. And it adds to many such incidents of the state being staged at present.

Now, the it gets resolved that, the farmers would go to the filling station with a certificate from the head of their respective local governing bodies and then they would give diesel in containers.

Now, it also opens up problems for the peasants. The headmen might start storage and black-marketing of diesel themselves. Further, the peasants supporting the opposition parties might get an unfair treatment from those cadres. And most importantly, the so-called people friendly government cannot make arrangement in all those days to provide some sort of relief to the citizens.

More mysteriously, a source of IOC demands that, enough stock of fuels remains there at Dharmanagar Depot. But due to the reluctance of the state government no readiness is found in the authority to remedy the crisis early. The same demand has been made by some Food and Civil Supply officers. In this context, the real motif and the true nature of the friendship (?) of this government reveals.
