KAMALPUR, July 27 (TIWN): The incidents of political clashes during last four or five months that occurred between the ruling CPI-M and opposition parties and the aftermath gave rise to a serious question about the present trend of the leaders.

Again, the incidents also created a serious allegation that, unrestrained and unparalleled power turned the CPI-M leaders and cadres unruly. They bother nothing even though their leader and the CM often used to teach them to be polite and sympathetic.

Kamalpur Degree College- 7th May: The SFI activists beat one ABVP supporter of Ambassa namely Alak Deb. Alak filed case against Birajit Debbarma, Manoj Sinha and another one. On 10th May the family members of Alak came to meet the Principal about the matter.

They were also beaten in the College. And when they approached to the BSM Hospital, the party cadres gathered in the hospital in such a violent way that the victims could not have the treatment.

Mayachari- 16th June: Two neighbours namely Mantu Majumdar and Naresh Ghosh were in long dispute regarding a plot of land. On 16th June their scribes got indulged in bloody fight and the wounded from both sides were shifted to Hospital.

There, the CPI-M party leaders and cadres got into the matter unnecessarily in favour of Naresh. The service of the hospital disrupted. Police had to close the gate of the hospital for restraining the unruly cadres to enter into the premise.

Halhali-24th July: Halhali turned bloody for the clash between TMC and CPI-M regarding the chakka jam program of TMC. TMC first appeared in the hospital with their wounded ones. Then the CPI-M party cadres arrived with their activists.

But using the power, the CPI-M activists were first transferred to GBP Hospital leaving the wounded persons of TMC. TMC leaders protested. The situation turned grave. Panic took the hospital in its grip. One party loyal GDA staff got injured.

And police closed the gate of the hospital when hundreds of cadres remained outside threatening the TMC activists with dire consequences in front of the police.

Now, when the present party Secretary Anjan Das took the charge of the party, it got hoped that, he would at least try to introduce some new policies other than those long practised and virtually hated means of tit for a tat policies.

But, the present scenario clearly indicated that, he remained in the old way and it’s too with a deteriorated display.
