AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Veteran BJP leader, also a Senior Advocate Arun Kanti Bhowmik held press meet on Tuesday at Agartala BJP party office counter-attacking CPI-M after Urban Development Minister Manik Dey, AMC Mayor Prafulljit Sinha held press meet on Monday, clarifying AMC’s Notification.

Addressing the press meet Arun Kanti Bhowmik said that there is no match between the notification published by AMC in its website and the press meet held by Urban Development Minister. ‘Whatever Minister Manik Dey said, it’s not at all written in AMC’s Notification.

 In this regard with Manik Dey’s words the re-publication of AMC notification is also necessary, he said.

“All the states are abide by the rules and conditions given by the central govt. But Tripura Govt. is the only govt. in whole India who has always problem with central’s every condition”, Bhowmik added.

He said, “SMART City project and its condition over funds are same for all states, then why Tripura Govt. demanding for 90:10 fund sharing?”

He also said, in tax receiving earlier it was taken 8 types of category, but this time it has only 4 variations (A B C D), which will deprive the people of the city.

However, it’s worthy to mention here that in explaining “A” category people, it was written on AMC Notification like that ---“For A category property zone as per lowest randomly selected property values, it comes Rs. 520.80/- as per square feet. Hence  10 % proportion faction for unit area value is considered as Rs. 50. (For Kolkata this fraction has been taken as Rs. 85). Question arises why AMC has to tell in Website that ‘for Kolkata it’s Rs. 85?’ Is the living standard of both of the places are same? How much difference between Mamata-Manik Govt.’s pay scale—AMC would study that first.

 “In case of facility there is nothing in Agartala City, but in the matter of tax they will snatch at the highest level”, he added.  “Border roads, village roads are in pathetic condition, but Govt. has no concern about all those”, he added.

But suddenly criticism started in BJP Party office and the press meet became almost a Mathematic class.  Media started to ask question why BJP itself is not cleared about the exact tax. In return Bhowmik said, “Has AMC said, how much they will take? BJP is just demanding for clarification”.

Media persons further said, “They can be wrong, but why BJP gave wrong data without clarifying from AMC?” In replying of media persons, BJP spokesperson, Mrinal Kanti Deb said, “If the question is wrong, how the answer will correct?”

According to BJP the formula was there, but without valuation.

At the end Arun kanti Bhowmik also said, “Due to power CPI-M is controlling, confusing the common people and damaging the system”. “BJP’s reacting was on the basis of the notification”, he added.

 It’s to be mentioned here that Tripura’s almost newly emerging party BJP has failed to win over CPI-M’s politics as people are now attacking BJP for confusing the mass. Instead of blaming the ruling party, all allegations went to BJP leaders. It was AMC who just to see the reaction of people published the notification with confusing words. However, BJP reacted against the matter. But after being attacked by BJP and Trinamool, Bijan Dhar on Sunday, and following Manik Dey and Mayor on Monday held press meet and saved their faces by saying the “Tax will not be so much High. Oppositions are lying, without proper knowledge” .

CPI-M is in power since 23 years and they are expert to draw the sympathy for the party amongst common men. This time also CPI-M’s politics ruled over people. But people yet to know what will be the exact Tax.

Smart City and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) was launched in 2015, but Tripura yet to see any trace of development.

However, Arun Kanti Bhowmik challenging the notification said, “In my 40 year’s career such confusing notification I never had met”. “Nothing is clearly written in AMC’s notification”, said Arun Kanti Bhowmik.

“This notification is full of mistakes and signed by an IAS officer”, he added to point out how High Govt. officials in Tripura are acting like just puppets in politicians hands.
