AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): The political parties are busy to point out each other and for the sake of self promotion & thus keep on counting the mistakes of other parties and to prove ‘Who deprived the people most ?’

Bijan Dhar, Tripura CPI-M state secretary, also an expert-politician called for a press conference on Sunday at Melarmath party Office and held discussion regarding few points.

The discussed matters are:

1.     Bijan Dhar said that the Kathaltali road, which is the alternative road for Assam-Tripura is being used since one year. Due to over –pressure upon Kathaltali-road, the road has been in pathetic shape. Now the Govt. is spending lakhs and lakhs to repair the road. The Kalatali road was closed, till last year, but after it was opened now it has become the life-line for Assam-Agartala. On the other hand under the Central Govt. and Assam Govt. both the NH-44 in pathetic condition.

2.     The 2nd point was discussed about various attacks upon Dalit people across the country held by BJP. Dhar said, left front party condemns over such attitude of BJP Govt. which is against Democracy. By BJP atleast 54,350 attacks have been done in last 2 years across India after the new Govt came in power. Bijan Dhar also said in Mumbai ‘Dalit Bhawan’ was broken down by BJP. CPI-M demands for the re-construction of it.

3.     About property tax hike Bijan Dhar said, opposition parties are spreading rumours about tax-hike. The tax will not be so much high as oppositions are saying.

However, the 1st & 3rd point are familiar points, but the Dalit-issue has been newly emerged, most probably it’s the idea of CM Manik Sarkar as he advertized CPI-M party after he expressed sympathy for Dalit students ay Hyderabad.

Question arises, Bijan Dhar had sympathy for Dalit-Bhawan in Mumbai, but it was the same City where in Taj Hotel, CST Station and many other places the terrorist attacks had killed so many innocents, but Bijan Dhar didn’t held press meet to criticize the  then Govt. of India.

Whereas Tripura CPI-M God-Father Manik Sarkar, along with his Polit Bureau Member had visited Hyderabad Central University on 22 January 2016, and had enough sympathy and time to express “solidarity” with the students protesting against the institutional murder of Rohith Vemula. During JNU visit Tripura CM also met the students who were sitting on hunger strike demanding the resignation of the HCU Vice Chancellor and he fully supported them.

Now via Bijan Dhar Manik Sarkar has brought the issue in Tripura. However, how much Dhar’s strategy will work for increasing CPI-M’s vote banks, it’s to be seen.
