AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): Protesting the “filthy condition†prevailing in the TB ward of GBP hospital, the patient resorted to demonstration on Monday. They were protesting about the e availability of protected drinking water was in a poor state and toilets were not maintained properly.
Used syringes, cotton, cloth, gauze etc., were not disposed properly and the sewerage facility was in a worst shape, creating a “filthy condition” on the hospital premises.
Apart from triggering intolerable odour, the “grimy condition” also had become a source of vectors spreading diseases. If the hospital administration failed to improve sanitary conditions, series of protests would be conducted, they said.
