AGARTALA July 20 (TIWN): Tripura government group D employees on Wednesday staged protest followed by a massive rally at Bhuturia with their various demands.
To promote 170 PTW workers to DRW workers, to regularise 52 DRW workers, along with various demands including price hike and inflation, the Group D employees on Wednesday staged protest in the state.
The state government has not kept its word regarding the regularization of Group-D employees that led the Tripura Government Group-D Employees’ Association raise their voice in protest against the state government.
Allegations were raised against the negligence of government since days towards the regularization of group D employees. Negligence of government towards the Group D employees has sparked off resentment.
At present, 2045 employees of Agriculture Department, 65 employees of Forest Department, 122 employees of Industry department, 758 employees of Animal Resource Development and 480 Employees of Forest yet remained on contract basis as Permanent Labor. They are engaged as government employees since 20 years.
They further raised slogan why there is no action taken against such price hike in the state why is t he government silent.
