Apart from placing deputation they also criticized Left front government for not taking any initiative to improve the situation of NH44 over past few months.

With the collapse of NH44 along with NHC (alternative highway) the state is now totally disconnected from rest of the part of the country which has evoked a crisis of essential commodities in the state.

Petrol, cooking gas crisis, and all other essential commodities has taken a bad shape in the state following the blockade of the NH44. The perishable goods, including truckloads of fish from Andhra Pradesh, have rotten while a severe fuel crisis has gripped the state.

Almost all the petrol pumps of Agartala city along with the petrol pumps at the sub-divisions were found hanging ‘No Petrol’ board since last 12 days. Long queue was witnessed in front of the petrol pumps in the several petrol pumps of the state.

NH-44 which is known as lifeline of landlocked Tripura has been extensively damaged due to State PWD’s negligence, resulting petrol/ diesel crisis inside the state.
