AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): taking the advantage of lack of movement of goods loaded vehicles to the state due to poor condition of NH44(8), the vegetable vendors have hiked the price of vegetable sin the market.

Vegetable price hike in the state is giving a tough time to the common people. Onions have shot up almost from Rs. 40 per kg to 80-85 per kg in the State. Besides, the wholesale prices of onions have also risen over the same period across the state.

Besides, the price of other vegetables like Brinjal are selling at Rs. 80, Chili at Rs. 300 per Kg and many other. We can say not a single vegetable are selling below Rs. 70

Day by day hike in the price of commodities has hit the common mass mainly the middle class and the poor people.

City residents have been again hit by inflation because the price of sugar has been increased by Rs 6 per kg in the ration here.

Families from the middle- and lower-income groups have been affected most by this hike. The increase in the price of sugar has come suddenly giving a tough time to the common people.

The common mass where hit with the price hike of the vegetables and other commodities, the hike in the sugar price may trigger resentment among the common mass.

Reportedly, recently the prices of the commodities in the markets are so high that the common mass had to cut down their pockets.

However, despite of serious price hike over the commodities in the State, allegation has been raised that the State Government is least bother to take action against it.

It seems like day by the price of the commodities are increasing in sky rocketing price. However, the issue of price hike is continuing for prolonged many years yet no initiatives are taken to control the rising price of commodities.

With the frequent increase of price in the commodities is leading the middle class families to make deduction in their monthly budget.
