AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Despite of prolonged suffering of the people due to price hike in vegetables, LPG crisis and most pathetic condition of the NH44, authority is yet to take any major initiative for the renovation of NH44(8).
There is no assurance when the NH44(8) will develop from its poor condition. Starting from price hike, lack of essential commodities, poor condition of roads is all that the state has gain last many years of Manik’s regime, yet the call for golden era is high in the state.

Along with price hike that state is also hit with the supply of lack of essential commodities including petrol and diesel. Hundreds of vehicles were seen in queue in front of petrol pump for refilling their vehicle tanks.
The actual reason for the dry-out remains largely speculative and the petrol pump owner is not ready to speak anything regarding the crisis in the city.
It is to be mentioned here that most of the petrol pump of the city area running dry and a long queue of people is seen from the early morning waiting in the petrol pump to collect petrol. Hundreds of vehicles were seen in queue in front of petrol filling station while many centres had hanged the board of no-petrol.
Majority of the petrol pumps in the state capital hanged the board of no-petrol due to lack of fresh petrol supply, forcing the desperate consumers to buy petrol from black market at a hefty price.
State Government has increased the price of sugar from the ration by Rs. 6 in every kilogram.
It is to be mentioned here that State Government on Tuesday announced about the increase in the price of sugar by Rs. 6 in every kilogram of buy from the ration.
However, the hiked price was implemented from April 1.
Day by day hike in the price of commodities has hit the common mass mainly the middle class and the poor people.
The common mass where hit with the price hike of the vegetables and other commodities, the hike in the sugar price may trigger resentment among the common mass.
Reportedly, recently the prices of the commodities in the markets are so high that the common mass had to cut down their pockets.
