AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): Tripura state BJP seek immediate renovation of various roads in Agartala and placed deputation to the Chief Engineer of PWD Dept. Tripura.

According to BJP from Ramnagar 7 to Town Bordowali there are many roads which have not been renovated since years. Few of them needs full reconstruction.

In this regard BJP Placed 5 demands to the Chief Engineer of Tripura PWD Dipak Das on Friday.

Their demands are :

1.    The roadway which covers Battala Fish-Bazaar to the road went near the barrage was broken down after the pipe-line was set there. So BJP asked the CE of PWD to re-construct the road there,

2.     From Joynagar Dasami Ghat to Upendra Para bridge has become almost unsuited for use. So  renovation of that road is also needed,

3.     To start urgent renovation work of Dasamighat to Battala road,

4.     Renovation needed taking the areas from Fire-service to checkpost (Akhaura),

5.     Kalikapur to Shanmura road also needs immediate renovation.

However, it’s worthy to mention here that from various corners of the state, the demand for local roadways are coming out.

Apart from National Highway, Tripura’s local roads are also in deplorable condition due to the poor maintenance held by PWD.  

On the same day in demand of roadway-renovation, the locals of Bishalgrah blocked road on Friday morning. According to the locals, although they were requesting the authorities since a long time, for the immediate road renovation, but the authorities turned a blind eye from their problem.  As a result, on Friday, they were bound to block the road for hours on Friday morning.

However, BJP Mandal Presidents Ashish Paul (Ramnagar-7), Jalyanta Dey (Town Bordowali) have placed written deputation to the CE of Tripura PWD in demand of road-renovation.
