AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Public prosecutor Babul Das on Wednesday at the premises of the court said that they have demand for 5 days of police remand at the court for conducting interrogation where as Defence lawyer Raghunath Das slammed the demand of the Public prosecutor and said that demand of the police remand is illogical and defence lawyer have demanded for jail custody.

However, Defence lawyer Raghunath Das further said that by demanding police remand for Panna is only to harass him unnecessarily in the name of interrogation.

Defence lawyer Raghunath das further said that he will soon appeal for the bail petition for Panna soon. Before even hearing of the case, defence lawyer is planning for the bail plea of rapist Panna Ahmed. It appears that just to escape punishment from the hand of law Defence lawyer is already planning to appeal for his bail from the court.

It is to be mentioned here that the rapist Panna Ahmed was produced before the court on Wednesday amid tight security after he was arrested from Karimganj district of Assam on Tuesday.

However, form the scenario of Panna’s arrest it appears that it was pre planned story to arrest Panna for saving the good name of police in the state as pressures from the other political party to arrest Panna was worsening and police was in deep dilemma. 

It seems like Panna was intentionally sent to Assam for enacting the scenario of arrest as after arresting Panna Tripura police would gain some good name and Panna will also get release on bail as already Defence lawyer has claimed.

History says that in almost all the cases of crime, corruption including Bimal Chakraborty, Susheel Chowdhuy all are today roaming free behind the bars even after committing such brutal crime and corruption in the state.  In these cases same way police arrested both these accused and filed charge sheet with minimal charges which are easily bail able.  Similar story will be repeated in case of Panna Ahmed.

Time will say what charge sheet police will file against Panna Ahmed.

It is to be mention here that as the police even failed to put up any appealing evidence against the prime accused sushil choudhury and was released from jail.

After carrying out in-depth investigation, Investigating Officer Manas Paul had submitted a 562-page charge sheet accusing Sushil Chowdhury for the gruesome incident before the Addl District and Sessions court.

However, failing to prove any allegation against the accused the court has released him from jail, same will be repeated in Panna Ahmed case and finally will be released from the jail.

However, Panna was arrested on the basis of secret information at 1pm from shivbari road and was brought to the state on Wednesday.
