KARIMANJ / AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Assam Police arrested one Jagadish Dhar and doing inquiry what’s the link between Jagadish Dhar and ISIS suspect cum rapist TCS officer Panna Ahmed. Sources said that Jagadish Dhar also a CPI-M cadre and Sahid Chowdhury’s trusted hand. Moreover, Assam Police arrested Panna thinking that he is an ISIS terrorist as Red alert has been imposed in Assam to nab all Islamic terrorists after Dhaka Café massacare. Most interestingly, just after Panna Ahmed’s arrest at Karimganj, allegations are coming against Tripura Minister Sahid Choudhury that he arranged shelter for Panna Ahmed at Karimganj. Govt Lawyer Babul Das asked for 5 days police remand, but Panna Ahmed 's lawyer Raghunath Mukharjee argued that 5 days remand will be held only for harassment to his client,so 3 days remand finally granted by court. While entering the court premises people threw rotten eggs on Panna Ahmed due to which Police had to put helmet before he was escorted into the court. Tripura Police falsely claimed that it was a joint effort as Assam Police rebuked this claim while talking to TIWN correspondent. Assam Police arrested Panna Ahmed over suspicion of links with ISIS, Bangladesh based Islamic terrorist organizations which is a totally separate issue apart from his rape case in Tripura.

Although Tripura Police claimed that with the joint initiative of Tripura Police and Assam Police Panna was held and during the press meet West SP Abhijit Saptarshi told media that “Tripura Police is always serious about Crime against Women”, but how far Panna will be kept in jail it’s to be seen.

Most probably, criminal Panna is to get bail in medical purpose as he is almost acting like a “patient”.

Moreover, allegations are also against the Tripura Police that police willingly didn’t arrest Panna Ahmed for long 18 days and brought him in Tripura only after 18 days, where medical test of a Rapist keeps almost no value.

Already Assam Police has arrested one Jagadish Dey at Karimganj who has fixed the rent for Panna Ahmed at Karimganj. Panna Ahmed was living on rent at Sephali Dey’s house at Karimganj Town but Sefali Dey didn’t know anything about Panna Ahmed.
