AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): Steps will be taken soon regarding the demolition of the newly constructed TMC Bhawan, said AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha.

Talking to TIWN correspondent, AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha said that notice has been served against the land which is registered under the name of MLA Asish Saha and other MLA’s also have share in it.

It’s worthy to mention, although Sudip Roy claimed that the land was given by Ashish Saha, but according to AMC data, in total 8 persons are the owner of the land. They are Prabir Kanti Roy, Pranab Kanti Roy, Partha Roy, Sathi Roy, Rakhi Roy, Hemprabha Roy, Subal Bhowmik and Ashish Saha.

Sinha further said that soon eviction will be done soon but so far nothing can be said what action will be taken instantly.

Challenging the decision of the AMC TMC leader’s claims that nobody can break down TMC house from its location, as it’s fully legally made.

The Agartala Municipal Corporation ordered the demolition of newly-inaugurated Tripura Trinamool Bhawan .

A day after the Tripura Trinamool Bhawan was inaugurated by senior party leader Mukul Roy, the mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation; Dr. Prafulla Jit Sinha passed demotion orders for it. The mayor, Sinha alleged that the construction was illegal, as a result of which the corporation has ordered demolition of the Trinamool party office.

Sorces in the CPIM-led civic body reveal that the Trinamool Congress constructed the party office overnight at Jackson gate.

“Before construction of any building, one needs permission and clearances. In this particular case, no permission was sought. The entire construction is illegal. We had sent them a notice of violation of guidelines, when the construction work began. But, they refused to stop and the construction work continued. Hence, we have passed demolition orders,” said Sinha.

This move of setting up a Trinamool Bhawan in Tripura comes in the wake of the party trying to make major inroads in this yet another Left-ruled state of the country.

Mukul Roy has been given the responsibility of making Trinamool Congress gain more ground in the state.

On the other hand, party supremo Mamata Banerjee is all set to address a public meeting on August 9 in the state. Earlier, seven of the total 10 Congress MLAs had submitted their resignation to the Tripura Legislative Assembly speaker. These MLAs are likely to join the Trinamool Congress officially in this public meeting to be addressed by Banerjee.
