AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): PCC chief Biranjit Sinha on Monday met Tripura Assembly speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath at Tripura assembly after speaker has called upon PCC Chief to discuss on the issue of the issue raised by Sinha under the Anti defection Act.
Demanding resignation from the MLA post of the recently joined leaders in TMC after quitting Congress PCC Chief Birajit Sinha met Assembly speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath.
Talking to TIWN correspondent, PCC chief Birajit Sinha further said that his meeting with Assembly speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath was successful and the response from t speaker is yet to come.
He further said that he demanded resignation from the MLA post of the recently joined leaders in TMC after quitting Congress.
The hearing would be received in a few days. PCC Chief Birajit Sinha he mentioned that the 6 MLAs should resign from their posts as MLA as Jitendra Sarkar had resigned.
When Trinamool Congress was all set to become the main opposition party replacing decimated Congress in Tripura, already six Congress MLAs have joined TMC without leaving their MLA posts under Congress banner, Birajit Sinha appealed the Assembly speaker to suspend the MLA positions of those 6 MLAs.
After Sudip Barman declared, “You can consider me as the Trinamool MLA now’ - reacting his comment PCC Chief called Sudip Roy Barman and his TMC party as shameless ‘Opportunists’ who has split his own Party, Barman family forgot all recognitions, political benefits from Congress Party since four decades.
It is to be mentioned here that, PCC Chief Birajit Sinha suspended Former opposition leader Sudip Roy barman and former President of Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury from the party after they have resigned from their post raising voice against the alliance with left front.
Former Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman and Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury have already resigned from the party and in their resignation letter they have mentioned that the resignation letter has been submitted in protest of the unethical alliance between Congress and the Left Front in West Bengal Assembly Election.
Besides, they also mentioned that with this alliance the party has compromised with its values to form this alliance only to grab power and the hopes of the people of Tripura.
