AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): Addressing the felicitation program for the rankers in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Exam, organized by TGTA on Saturday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that apart from IT Tripura comes first in any kind of development.

‘IT’ is the only field where Tripura is lagging behind but within 3 / 4 years there will be an enormous growth in this field, said Manik Sarkar. He further asked the experts, (who are living outside the state/ country) to contribute knowledge and work for the state.

He was addressing the students, teachers and media at Najrul Kalakshetrta where he mentioned “For Higher Education now students need not to go to other states. In Tripura every colleges are there including Law, Medical, Engineering, Sanskrit, Music, Art and in North East for Quality Education Tripura comes first”, said CM. However Chief Minister didn’t mention that although there are colleges and Universities in Tripura but Govt. is unable to lessen the unemployment rate.

Moreover CM claims for rapid IT development in upcoming days when people need not to run outside for Job. However, mocking at the NRIs outside the country, he mentioned, ‘At least come back to India, if not possible in Tripura, as everyone has their responsibilities for their own society and with this IT may develop faster’.

Whether CM is claiming for Quality Education and IT development in state, but the reality is different.  If he really wants NRIs coming back to state, why he never organized Tripura based NRIs meet? Have CM taken any advise from NRI experts about IT development?

And most importantly, What the NRI can do after coming here as Tripura needs many centuries to witness Industrial growth ? Even high speed internet, uninterrupted power is a distant dream.

But at a glance, lameduck CM could blame the NRIs for staying outside and for being “Self-Reliant” even though he filled his administration with a dumb IT Minister like Tapan Chakraborty and more dumber bunch of IAS officials.
