One chopped off in railway track at Mungiakami 41 mile area

AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident one died after being chopped off in railway track at Mungiakami 41 mile area on Sundaymorning.

The deceased is identified as Gangaram Tripura (35).

 According to the sources, the victim was in hurry for crossing the railway track but in the mean time the train dashed the victim and chopped off the head of the victim in the track at Mungiakami41 mile area on Sunday morning.

Getting alarm about the incident, the local police reached the spot and started investigation. However, police has so far identified the victim.  Police is further investigating the case.

As there are no short cuts to success, there are no short cuts to railway tracks either. For, opting for the short cut, crossing the railway tracks to reach another platform, took one life on Sunday morning.

Human chains, distributing roses to offenders, constant warnings through announcements and banners are some of the measures tried by the railway police to keep commuters away from the crossing, to no avail and despite of several awareness people fall sin the trap of the railway track.

Fulfilling the year long demands of BG passengers train service finally the landlocked state- Tripura has made its place in the railway map of the world connecting with rest of India.

A pair of passenger train had started roiling its wheel between Silchar and Agartala.

The long wait of northeastern state of Tripura to have direct broad-gauge rail connectivity with rest of India comes true after a long session of wait. However, now the wait for the express train begins.

Adding another milestone in the history of Tripura, the land-locked state has finally made its entry in the BG railway map of the country. 

Recently, with the trial run of the train on the newly converted broad-gauge (BG) track of Agartala-Badarpur route upto Agartala railway station has created a milestone in the history of Tripura.
